RE: Black Bears Lank Sharks Rebels Apolgize To Houston Nutt
Wow. Doesn't seem that important now that the phony pervert Freeze was fired. But still pretty incredible how badly Ole Miss has handled this for 5 years. Why anyone involved still has a job is a mystery.

"Certain statements made by University employees in January 2016 appear to have contributed to misleading media reports about Coach Nutt. To the extent any such statements harmed Coach Nutt's reputation, the University apologizes, as this was not the intent," the university said in a statement. "The NCAA's Notice of Allegations dated January 22, 2016, did not name or implicate Coach Nutt in any misconduct, and it would have been inappropriate for any University employee to suggest otherwise."
. . .
When asked if any compensation was included in the settlement, lawyers from both parties declined to say anything more than their statements.

In a statement, Nutt said: "I am pleased to put the lawsuit behind me. Best wishes to the future of the Ole Miss Football program."

I wish Nutt would sue Freeze personally for defamation, but understand that he doesn't want the hassle.

Ole miss only came to the table now, to keep Nutt's lawyer from digging through more phone records.
