If Loserville had any morals, Pitino would have been fired a long time ago.
And look at their football coach still hanging around. Their administration fully enabling money transfers to recruits. Clint Hurtt was hired to buy recruits if that doesn't say enough.

I am continually amazed at some Card fans claiming a vast conspiracy against Rick. What world do these people live in. Most likely it is the T shirt fans who care nothing for the academic side and reputation of the University. He did not get the nick name Slick Rick freaking 30 years ago for nothing. I see YOU (Wilkie) and a couple of other Louisville fans that I have come to respect over the years who have been hurt and "ashamed and embarrassed" by these revelations...and I really do feel for you...but for every one of the "Wilkies" out there, I can find three other fans ("CardFan1", "Lenvillecards," and "RedandBlackAttack" just off the top of my head) who are anything but "ashamed and embarrassed."
You and Maize are good people and, again, I feel for you guys. But the wider Louisville fan base loves the scandal and being "the baddest dude on the block" image. You don't have to look far to find A LOT of Card fans who think Jurich and Petino are the victims here and want them back.

It was only five years ago people were saying the same thing about Penn State football...and they're back.
Just sayin'... Louisville will indeed take a short-term hit but they will follow the Penn State playbook and will be back within a decade.
Louisville fans are only "ashamed and embarrassed" that they got caught.
And, I agree that, to the likes of UNC, Miami and Clemson, all of this only proves that Louisville is a proper member of their club.
Finally, Louisville will not get the DP and will recover.
BUT, Louisville is not Penn State. It does not have the heft or power of a Penn State. It will take Louisville much longer to recover.
I don't say that to belittle Louisville. They are a former municipal college and are, profile-wise, much like the schools in the AAC. They did what it took to get into the club without being a flagship, and it was ugly. Many of the posters on this board might wish that their own schools take some chances to get into that same club.
The real problem for Louisville was that, once admitted to the club, they couldn't just turn-off the reckless culture that got them admitted in the first place.
