ESPN Trai Sharp Story
Thought this deserved its own thread.

Some things that stood out to me.

1. The team being a team and supporting one another.

2. A father's positive involvement in their child's life can make a difference in their life.

3. Humbleness of the team.

Good all around story, but certainly a sad topic.

A great story but as JMU71 said, a very sad topic!!!

Hope Trai and his family are coping OK.

Speaking of Sharp ... any news on his knee (? at least that is what they appeared to be looking at). He got twisted like a pretzel down near the goal line, came out with assistance and never returned.

As someone else said, he was cutting and sprinting on the sidelines shortly there after.

RE: ESPN Trai Sharp Story
Would imagine it was more out of caution than anything that he didn't go back in. Would love to see Percy get some snaps against a top team. At this point, I don't think any of our RBs have taken enough snaps to set records or get an award for their stats, so it'd be good to spread the reps to get our guys healthy. Also, Percy looked pretty speedy and might be able to hit the edge against some of the teams that stack the box. However, I'm still hoping Marshall can get 100% on track with our offense and be a more solid 1-2 punch with Trai.

I never saw Trai icing any part of his leg on the sideline. That's always a good sign. If it were even somewhat serious, he would have swelling and need to get ice on it immediately.

Another great thing about JMU: whenever our athletes are interviewed, they are always so well spoken and respectful. Sadly, it is noticeable, because so many other college athletes can't form a coherent sentence. Kudos to all of our coaches, athletes, and parents for making sure their kids are well-rounded and learning something while at school.

Amen. Terrific piece by ESPN. We are blessed as fans to have guys like Trai...and, Raven...and, Schor...and, Coach Houston...and, well, the list goes on and on.
