I keep forgetting Spencer Brown is a freshman! He doesn't play like one.

Broke his own freshman single game record tonight. 167. Previous week was 165.

What is it with the Bham News?? My Sunday morning paper had not 1 word about the UAB game,, nuttin, NADA.. period. Cant be because of the late game start because there was the usual 3-4 page spread on the Crimson Tide's game, which also was played mostly in the dark as I recall. The good news,,,, WE WON and I was there to the very last tick of the game clock to see it in person.

They barely did any UAB coverage in the past. That is why I dropped it; when I see them at the grocery store peddling subscriptions, that is what I tell them. They will not get my money while UAB is not treated like the hometown team.

It's not about news or proper coverage, It's about selling newspapers. No matter how good our feel good story gets, until the sports editor thinks any UaB story is going to get more interest than what Saban's barista did on her summer break, he's going to print the story of the coffee chick.

& is a game or two away from breaking the freshman rushing record.
This when getting into the 1st game at most on a handful of plays.

I have seen the "Sunday NEWS" for sale on Saturday at the Publix here in Pell City. My guess would be that the paper reserves space for Bama and Auburn coverages while the rest of the paper is set up Saturday morning. The paper just plugs the two game's coverages into the reserved spaces and prints it wherever that is done now. I had heard that the NEWS had fired all its editors awhile back and has no local presses.
