Really don't get this cupcake thing. Usf and ucf have almost identical schedules. We played Illinois they played Maryland. Maryland is a bit better I guess but neither are good and either team should have beaten either of them with little trouble.
The only difference is ucf played Memphis. I get it that's more than we have but to continue banging on about us having a cupcake schedule when there's is no more difficult is rediculous. We had Wisconsin on the schedule and they bitched out of the game, what can we do?
That said, I agree that ucf is the best team in the conference and is the favorite to win it. I'm not going to rank all 12 but I think ucf is #1, usf 2, then Memphis and navy. Ecu is far and away the worst, good God they're terrible.
Lol really? Maryland whipped a decent Texas team in Austin.
Memphis SHOULD be Top 25 easily. Their lone loss is to UCF.
And FIU is 5-2 and just lit up Tulane.
USF doesn’t have a team with a winning record on the schedule played thus far.
Illinois lost to Rutgers. Maryland is better than Illinois. Memphis is better than anyone usf has played. Fiu is 5-2. Also we weren’t tied with stony brook in the 4th quarter.

RE: Week 7 Rankings
Based on performance to date:
1. USF, 6-0. Taking care of business.
2. UCF, 5-0. Hoping the FL twins stay undefeated until Thanksgiving.
3. Memphis, 5-1. Big win over Navy.
4. Navy, 5-1. Still a good team.
5. SMU, 4-2. Still looking at a good season.
6. Houston, 4-2. Bad loss.
7. Tulane, 3-3. Bad loss, but still above the dregs.
8. Tulsa, 2-5. Big win makes the Hurricane the biggest midget.
9. Cincinnati, 2-5. Haven’t entered the Pillow Fight tournament yet.
10. UConn, 2-4. Move ahead of Temple after beating them.
11. Temple, 3-4. Stay ahead of the Pirates.
12. ECU, 1-6. Hate to see you here.

RE: Week 7 Rankings
UCF is the best team in the conference by a huge gap. If UCF and USF are both undefeated by Thanksgiving then UCF will be in the discussion for a playoff bid because both teams will be ranked pretty high.

RE: Week 7 Rankings
The sad thing for the AAC and the high bowl expectations, is that the bottom 6 teams of the conference, regardless of the order, can potentially upset any of the top 6 teams, regardless of the order.
That said UCF and USF (tie for the lead), followed by Memphis are all that really matter for the high NY6 bowl expectations at this point in time. If any of the others beat any of these teams, then the NY6 bowl game is possibly gone.

RE: Week 7 Rankings
I don't see how anybody can put UC ahead of any team near the bottom with perhaps the exception being ECU. UConn won at Temple yesterday.
UC has a win over an FCS team and a bad Miami(Oh) team. UC did not stop UCF once. They got clobbered at home by Marshall. I guess the defense was better last night but they never get the offense and the defense playing 'acceptable' in the same game. Seven games in and they still are making stupid penalties and mistakes.
Every team has a league win except for UC (although their league schedule has turned out to be brutal playing Navy, UCF, and USF).
Starting next week we will see what UC can do, although SMU has a decent team.

RE: Week 7 Rankings
So SMU gets ranked ahead of Houston because SMU's loss (to Houston) is better than Houston's loss to tulsa.. UH's win vs Zona is looking better and better, Thursday will be telling for the West.
