My guess is that he would actually stay. But lets get that success and cross that bridge when we get there.

Wilder would leave. You don't take interviews if you're that loyal. But let's hope he gives us a chance to prove you right.

Did he take any interviews?

He met with Temple officials and that helped lead to his current extension.

His agent might've floated his name out there, but we only interviewed Collins, Jedd Fisch when he was at Michigan, Mike Bloomgren when he was at Stanford, and Mario Cristobal when he was at Alabama.

No one is saying he officially interviewed, just that he went and spoke with some officials.

I suspect that BW never met with any Temple officials at all.

This looks like a typical "leak to the media" technique used by an agent seeking to enhance his client's position relative to contract negotiations.
That Pilot Online article seems to confirm this:
Quote:"Coach Wilder was not involved in this process in any way," one source said. "He was not on the list and was never talked to about the position."

Don't think that's accurate.

Correct....no one from Temple (at least with any REAL connection to hirings) acknowledges this. Due to that, the fake news was purely an attempt by BW to try and leverage some position within ODU. Regardless it worked, but I doubt it will work again.

It's way too early to tell how good of a coach he really is but it looks like Charlotte just hired one of the best recruiters in college football as their head coach;

In College football, recruiting is, IMHO, paramount to the success of a program.
It doesn't always translate to success at a higher level (see Mike London), but if the proper assistants are assembled and ALLOWED to do their jobs, then it is the single most important aspect of college coaching.

This looks like stellar hire for Charlotte.
Even more so because many JMU fans were drooling at the prospect of getting Healy. 05-stirthepot

Looks like Urban Meyers will be available soon! I'm sure we're already talking to him.

crap, figured they were all gone...and I'm heading out of town for the weekend.03-banghead

I was down on Saturday for the JMU game and walked by the west side and couldn't see anything. There was a pile of rubble well inside the construction fence but no one was around to ask (the laborers looked quite busy as well, working for a GC myself in the field I couldn't bring myself to ask them to stop what they were doing). When I showed up Sunday before driving back to Fairfax the rubble was gone (or at least the pile I saw that had bricks in it). I was a little disappointed haha

That’s not accurate. Bobby never spoke with anyone at Temple and Temple never reach out to BW or had any interest in him. It’s was all coming from BW. I know.
