And they followed with, All Clemson needs to do is win out and they are in, because it's still early. Cuse was an unranked team that legitimately beat Clemson and knocked out the QB.
Annoying how high Wazzu moved up after beating USC who barely escaped Texas at home, only to be obliterated by Cal.

Yup...for tv ratings (ad revenue) they HAVE to have Ohio State, USC, etc. They want the blue bloods at cost. If the playoff one year was say, Wake, Houston, Oregon State, and Rutgers, lol, ESPN would miss plan, guaranteed...
Its not different in any other sport. This is why Sunday Night baseball is always one of six teams: Cubs, Cards, Dodgers, Giants, Yankees and Red Sox.
I promise you the networks want the WS this year to be either Cubs or Dodgers vs Yankees. Houston is odd man out.
A WS that was say, Brewers vs A's would be disaster ratings wise.....
same in the NFL, same in the NBA, etc etc etc
seems like the ONLY sport where the underdog is wanted and boosts ratings is March Madness....which is part of its magic
