As a Knicks fan I don't like Ron Baker. I respect his grind and how hard he worked to get to where he's at but teams with playoff aspirations don't have players with that little talent/athleticism see meaningful minutes in their rotation.

Kyle Korver is basically just a three-point shooter. Ron has a nice all-around game and is probably twice the defender that Korver is. Completely different skillsets.

Korver has a role to play but he struggles to be called a basketball player. He is a shooter but his other basketball playing skills (defending, passing, handles, rebounding) are mediocre at best to very poor (most of them). Billy Butler made it baseball for a long time and all he can do is hit. Ron Baker is a Basketball Player (from the truest sense of the words) and I doubt he becomes a "star", but he supports other stars and he will play in the NBA for a while. If you can't see his skill level, you don't know basketball.
