RE: Vanderbilt Baseball Facilities (WOW)
Glad to hear your positive comments on Coach Pope. I thought he was a great hire and was surprised by the yawn many seemed to express. Anyone who can win 3 State HS titles at the highest level of UIL ball certainly should have been seen as a great addition and possible successor to Wayne.

To me, point number 1 is a huge issue. Whether my toilet seat is heated or not is less so.
Has Stanford been to Omaha since 2003? How about Georgia Tech or Clemson or USC or Georgia or Tennessee or Baylor or Houston or .... Reckling facilities are top notch, and getting even better. The fact that LSU, TCU and Vandy, among several others, have funding pro-like lockerrrom facilities does not make Reckling a dump.
Nobody said Reckling was a "dump."
Geez.
Simply stating a fact that the schools that have all of a sudden become fairly new powerhouses (Vandy, TCU) are building state of the art facilities. Rice has a great facility but it wouldn't hurt to add some amenities to try and keep pace at least somewhat.

1. Rice just upgraded it's Reckling lockerroom facility several years ago, and will be adding further enhancements over the next 3 years.
2. TCU and Vandy are the exceptions, not the norm. To claim that Reckling isn't "keeping pace" is an absurd claim as by almost every account it's one of the Top 15 - 20 college baseball facilities in the country.

Walt, I think the issue is that some fans here arent informed of the recent improvements and the upcoming improvements. You’re in the know, but that sounds like saying the sky is blue.
We seem to be handling facilities appropriately as you state - making sure we aren’t falling behind and getting to a place where our facilities need major renovations.
