The twins from the everglades state still have t0 face Mem, Navy, and 0thers.

The AAC has 5 teams with 0 or 1 loss. If any of those 5 finish as champion with 1 loss, they are in over Boise. Period.

Well so far...and I say so far....the SOS of the top AAC schools are pretty weak vs SDSU or BSU and a couple other MW schools.
We'll see what the CFP committee says soon when they add in the SOS factors to their rankings.
maybe ooc but conference games matter too....

Miami just lost to a perpetual MAC bottom feeder who's OC was the coach who put us in the crapper in the first place and we're 0-12 against our rivals since 2013.

To get to that Orange Bowl they needed a truly fluke win over UGA ... getting a kickoff and turning it into a field goal in 20 seconds.

They beat UGA last year because their true FR QB threw a pick on their own side of the field with less than 4 minutes to go.

Since the 50's GT is a collective 13-40 against UGA. It's even uglier if you drop the 60's. They win on average around 2.5 games .... per decade .... against UGA. UGA controls the GABOT and thus all major offerings. And GT opened up with a similar self-inflicted loss against a team that appears destined to finish last in the SEC East. And this is, btw, using a coach and an offensive system that unquestionably maximizes talent.

I could deal with the perpetual choke jobs and self-inflicted losses if it were a level playing field ... but after the UNC **** this week it's getting hard to stomach committing ritualistic suicide every year while cheaters like UNC can commit gross organized academic fraud and Miami can set bounties for injuries ... hey ... no f'n problem there. But if some ******* meets a GT player at the GA Aquarium and gives him $300 well let's bring in the heavies on GT!

This sport is getting difficult to stomach.

I can feel that, though at least you've won your fluke games even if you shouldn't have. Miami won nine games in four years when I went there. Can take this to the PM if you want.

Anyways, the week isn't over yet - WMU and Akron will play this afternoon at nearby Kalamazoo College since Western's field is underwater. Won't exactly be laughable unless WMU blows the spread way open and someone feels like making a Tommy Bowden joke.

such a lucky break on the 4 and 10 play that ball bounce right into the Miami receiver.

Welcome to the life of a Georgia Tech fan. If you work hard and do things the right way and don't cheat and take academics seriously you too can experience relentless heartbreak year after year after year until the end of time.

Or you could do all of those things - with ZERO NCAA sanctions in your school's entire history (one of 16 such programs) - and then the boosters of a program with a massive history of egregious and shameless cheating shut down your program for giggles. Yee haw.

By the way:

UAB 25
MTSU 23
UA Trustees 0

Every time UAB takes the field, every bammer dies a little inside.
Without question UAB has been dealt the shittiest hand of all recently.

@Stever20

Pretty much all except Delaware State, Hampton, Howard, PV, NCAT, NC Central FAMU, SCSU and Alabama State. Most are NAIA level schools that should have never come up to the NCAA D-I level to begin with. One HBCU conference would be much stronger.

I think we're all missing the biggest story from the weekend: How did Stanford get a mid-season transfer from South Dakota State?

...or for other schools to say they've had enough and want to move out. I don't buy it for a second that there aren't homes for some of these schools elsewhere, especially ones like Howard and Hampton. You have some administrators there that seem fine playing in dying conferences as their enrollments all take plunges. But, legacy and tradition in higher ed may as well be a narcotic. Schools can't or just won't quit that stuff.
