I think we could have beaten Trinidad...we just couldn't beat them and Tobago. It was unfair, we only had 11 players and they had 22....I think.

At least we didn't have to face the Turks AND Caicos.

While I didn't see the game, it seems like the US were good enough to beat themselves.

It certainly does not - Rice humor just keeps coming back season after season, like a certain football coach.

I just thank God that Bailiff hasn't had to go up against William and Mary.

As per the title of this thread, if the USMNT wants to go to the final phase of the World Cup this time, they'll have to buy tickets. Chile and the Netherlands know how they feel....

Meh, who wanted to go to Russia anyway? (Then again, who is going to want to go to Qatar in 2022?)

I'm still somewhere between the depression and acceptance stages of grief. I guess all streaks have to come to an end at some point - even Mexico came about as close as you could come to failing to qualify last cycle - but the prospect of ~2 years ahead with no WC tuneups, no WC itself, and no WC qualifiers is depressing.

I'm still holding out Trump can get his Russian buddies to work their magic and get the U.S. in.

From Qatar you can take a short hop over to Muscat. Muscat might be my favorite place in the world. 03-cloud9 I have never been to a city (and country) with nicer people; its truly a must-visit for anyone who hasn't.
