Travel ban expired. That is the reason for the ruling of the case being dismissed as being moot.

Back to square one on litigation. The key is that the SCOTUS "vacated" the 4th Circuit opinion and remanded -- it wiped the 4th Circuit opinion out as precedent.

But, the SCOTUS did nothing as to opine on the merits as opposed to simply saying "we cant rule on this since it is moot".
