he ran himself out of town when he hired daddy lawson to get his kids...he's not cut-throat enough to get a title...perhaps an NIT title.
that said, I'm glad he's found somewhere he's wanted because 17-15 (8-10) won't get it done at Memphis.
Tubby says we have our sights set too high. Tubby says , the media picked us to finish a certain place----we did ---so why should we complain . Some are picking us last this year. I wonder if that will be acceptable to him as well. Josh would have righted the ship in MEMPHIS with our dedication to basketball. Just MOP.
Josh was going to have trouble fielding a team if he had stayed. It was a straight up dumpster fire.
The Lawsons, Markel, Martin, Charlie Moore, Randall and maybe Marshall and no Clergeot or Kessee, but for sure someone better than Rykhoek. If Pastner was coach last year, we would still have every single one of those players except maybe Marshall and a good coach would be off and running.
All in all a much better situation than torching the program like Tubby has done.
Or even just a good motivational speaker. How hard is it to win with superior talent?

Apparently it's hard to recruit if you aren't a good motivational speaker.
Question. Who gets crossed off the list the morning after a home visit?
Answer. We do.
Reaction. Embarrassing.
