Prescience? Uh, no.

Put Austin Hall at free safety seemed like the trick.

And Avery at DE. Another adjustment done repeatedly was to switch Avery & whoever was playing the other DE position AFTER Navy looked to the sideline for the play. A nice strongside/weakside adjustment that was effective. Kudos to the defensive staff for their homework to defend the triple option.

And speaking of looking to the sideline for a play? Someone explain to me why that is not illegal procedure? It looks like everyone is in the down position, then err body jus stands up!

I never have understood that just like I never understood the holder with his knee down.

That would be an interesting adjustment to have to make. The holder not being able to put his knee down could make things awkward.

Would have to go back to the drop kick.

This. Made a huge difference. They were taking so long with the snaps, we had plenty of times to flip-flop the line, and move lb's around.

I don't believe we've had the ball first in a single game this year. Not sure if that is our choice, or if we've lost every coin toss.

Tails never fails!

It's by choice we have won some this year

Good to know. I haven't paid attention to the coin toss, just the kickoff.

After our first received kickoff of the year, I say we go back to kicking to start the game.

I never have understood that just like I never understood the holder with his knee down.

Well the holder is specifically written in the rule book. Not sure what's happened with the OL standing up. When this trend started years ago, linemen had to be very careful what they did. Now it just seems that they do whatever they want.

If they don't have their hand on the ground the OLine can move as long as they get set again for for a few moments before the snap. Remember the cowboys deal 25 years ago with Tom Landry where they would be in an up set position stand up then put their hand down and other times snap the ball from the up position.

I think once their hand is on the ground they should not be able to move again.

That's the old rule. But it seems something has changed.
