1) BYU is too much of a headache—which is one reason why it’s not in the B12....

2) About 99% of the country will not stay up pass midnight to watch SDSU and BSU play [insert an American school].

3) Air Force is as far west as we should expand and enhances “The American” brand.

4) We need Colorado St to land Air Force.

BSU has had over a million viewers in 4/5 games. Is that your 1% of the country lol

Well the deal ND has with the ACC is all sports but FB in the ACC and ND plays 5 games a year against ACC teams rotating through the conference. Having Army play 5 FB games a year is just a scheduling agreement and not even that good of one. Army isn't a huge draw.

Better than rutgers. Cbs didnt snatch up the navy army game to be patriotic.

Okay, Army is a huge draw and getting 5 OOC games a year against them will finally get you guys in the power conference club. 07-coffee3

Awww, sorry, did i hit a nerve? I'm sure the "earned" big 10 money will soothe the butt hurt.

We earn every penny when we play the schools you'd kill to play. You'd all trade spots with us and all would gladly take the beatings we're taking to be in the B1G.

Rutgers fan knocking Army bball? Have you seen that unwatchable product which is Rutgers Bball? B10 has Rutgers on the sched for essentially another bye week.

Yes, just because my schools team stinks doesn't change that fact. If a Duke fan said the same thing it would be equally as true. Adding Army for Olympics and getting them for 5 OOc games which is what ND has with the ACC then thats a terrible decision that will bring no new significant money to the conference.

RutgersGuy.... Did you design that signature yourself? I don't care for your overpaid new conference, but I like your signature. I'm thinking about updating mine.....

Negative, I found it doing a google search. There are lots of cool ones for every conference that people across the web have made. Give it a look, im sure you'll find one you like. 04-cheers

lol you earn all of your money? Simply by showing up? You realize that the B1G could have just added Bowling Green if it simply wanted a patsie for their existing teams to drill every Saturday right?

It's nice for you that Rutgers is in the B1G but at least have the integrity to admit that Rutgers hit a jackpot that it really had no business hitting.

If I’m not mistaken, Maryland had to join the B1G with Rutgers or the deal was off….

Would bowling green have brought in as much money as we have with the increased rates of the BTN in the biggest media market in the country? Yes, we did have business being added as the old saying goes if it makes dollars it makes sense.

We were always in the mix to join the B1G even as the 12th team. Too much money and too much exposure in that part of the country to pass up. Thats why the B1G opened a second league office in NYC and is playing the BBall tourny in MSG the next two years.

If you're attempting to tell me that Rutgers is even remotely relevant in the greater NYC TV market then I have a green unicorn to sell you in the back of my 30,000 sq ft mansion.

Like I said, Rutgers won the lottery despite having a losing ticket. Just enjoy it and move along. Somehow your AD and President convinced people that Rutgers' inclusion delivers the NYC market and they got enough suckers to go along with it.

Its not just the proximity to NYC but also the Northeast NJ population and the TV SETS in NJ. There is a lot cable revenue in the corridor between NYC and Washington DC hence the inclusion of Rutgers and Maryland into the B-10. A long standing relationship with Penn State didn't hurt their prospects either. One would also have to look at Delaney's end game for future expansion as it is rumored that he has his eye on Virginia and UNC in the next realignment too. Will it happen that's another question for another day. Personally I for one doubt it will happen. 07-coffee3 04-cheers

Rutgers delivers nothing, i seriously doubt the big 10 has seen any improvement in any media market with regards to rutgers games. As far as i can tell nobody cares and i doubt rutgers being in the big 10 adds new york viewership or any market to michigan vs ohio st.

Maryland is good in bball, but rutgers is a waste of a spot.

It's nice for you that Rutgers is in the B1G but at least have the integrity to admit that Rutgers hit a jackpot that it really had no business hitting.

Would bowling green have brought in as much money as we have with the increased rates of the BTN in the biggest media market in the country? Yes, we did have business being added as the old saying goes if it makes dollars it makes sense.

So how this works is even if Rutgers sucks the NYC area is a B1G city. So people will tune to see Rutgers host Ohio State even as they get blasted.

So people will watch AF and Colorado but not Boise....

Boise got 2 million viewers for Washington St and Virginia each. We could say well that’s because of the opponents (cartel opponents) Ok. Explain how Boise vs a losing record New Mexico got over 1 million viewers? People still watch Boise no matter how much they are hated on here....
