Time for the AAC to sponsor Field Hockey
#1 ranked 13-0 UCONN will be competing for their 3rd Field Hockey Championship since the Big East/AAC split (for the Big East).

Currently we have UCONN and Temple competing in the Big East. I'd like to see ECU, Cincinnati, and Tulane start up their own programs then grab ODU/Liberty to give us 6. Stupid for us to be winning National Championships for other conferences, especially when the AAC has an annual contender with UCONN.

Would love that, but have to raise $40,000,000 to endow lacrosse and field hockey.

Tulsa should do Women's so we can restart our baseball program.

Cheap sport. Replace one of your many under-performing Women's teams. 07-coffee3

Won't ever happen at SMU. No place for a field and only a small minority want it back.

Buy Dallas Baptist. Put those endowment dollars to good use.

What is field hockey? Is that anything like horse hockey? Sounds like a communist game.

We don't play that in the South. Volleyball, softball, and track are the primary women's sports. Cheerleading, if you count that. Gymnastics is also really big in the Houston area.

RE: Time for the AAC to sponsor Field Hockey
Field Hockey is played in the South but just at the privates. The Southwest Prep Conference has been playing it since the 1970s.

SOUTH ZONE

Houston St John's
Houston Kinkaid
Houston Episcopal
Houston Christian
Austin St Stephen's
Austin St Andrew's

NORTH ZONE

Fort Worth Trinity Valley
Fort Worth Country Day
Dallas Greenhill
Oklahoma City Casady
Dallas Episcopal
Oakridge
Dallas Hockaday

St Agnes and Duchesne, the two largest Catholic girls schools also play it. My prep school has sent several on to D-I scholarships at Michigan, Michigan State, Stanford, Duke, North Carolina, Richmond, Boston U, Ohio U, Colgate, Harvard, Browm and Louisville the last decade. Many girls also go on to play at DIII schools like Williams, Haverford, Sewanee, Rhodes, Centre, and William Smith.

I approve the concept of the AAC having field hockey programs.

I would watch and actively support women's beach volleyball programs.

Beat that dead horse again lol

In all seriousness i would love for us to play baseball, especially in this conference, the local talent is always good and we could compete in a top level league.

Let me when the lotto and it is happening.

Fabulous. Especially considering we were able to sway the perennial Top 10 Gators to break away with us.
