As many of you might remember, I lost my son, William in a motorcycle accident in May of 2014. Every year since then on his birthday my family and I get together and spend time with one another in his remembrance. Well, his birthday is October 14th, so needless to say there's only one place for us to gather this year. I will have my wife, my other 2 sons, a couple of my grand kids, my younger brother and some cousins and some friends as we all attend the Memphis/Navy game. While I am very excited to be at the game, I can't help but know that if he were here, I'd have all three of my sons with me. It will be a day of mixed emotions for sure, but hopefully in the end it will be a Tiger victory and a bunch of wonderful moments and memories with my family. GO TIGERS!!!
I remember very well when your son was killed in that horrible accident.
I think it is great that you are all gathering to honor his life and memory. Praying that you all have safe travels and that God continues to heal your hearts as time passes. Your son was a remarkable young man and I know he continues to be missed by many.

Bless you and your family, and your son for his service. I hope you all have a fine day with fellowship and remembrance and we win that game in honor of your son. It is always a special game for me because I respect our opponent more than any other that we play.
What happened to all the other post on this thread ? It only shows 5 post and one page. I know I personally had probably 3 post and others also had posts. For some reason I only show the 1 page now with the 5 posts.
The wife and i are about to head out and make our way to Memphis! I just wanted to take a second and thank you all for your support and comments. I also wanted to give props to whoever the moderator was that cleaned this thread up a bit. As you can clearly see in the video i posted above, my boy knew how to have fun, enjoy the moment, and most of all enjoy people. That's the spirit and legacy I, and our entire family are striving to carry on. I am looking forward to a great time, a great game and seeing some great family and friends tomorrow. I have but one question for all of you:
I can't imagine losing a child. So sorry for your loss. As others have stated, enjoy your family and the celebration of your son's life...........and a TIGER win will be icing on the cake.
