RE: Middle Tennessee @ UAB
What is MTSU injury situation for UAB game?
UAB had a bye the week before La Tech. That helped us.

UAB had a bye the week before La Tech. That helped us.
Brent Stockstill (Questionable-practicing but did not dress last week)
Richie James (Questionable - dressed last week and I expect he will at least see some limited action
Shane Tucker (Probable) Played a few snaps last week
Terrelle West (Probable) Played a few snaps last week and is said to be about 85% recovered from knee surgery
Patrick Smith (Probable) Has been in and out over the past few games.
Maurice Gordon (Unknown)
Chandler Brewer (Likely) Returned last week (several others on the OL were day-to-day and missed some time in the previous weeks)
Walter Brady (Likely) Returned last week
Mike Minter (Likely) Returned last week
There have also been about 9 or 10 others who have left games to injury and returned a week or two later. I'm not sure what the status is on guys that came out last week and didn't return.
We are getting close to having a healthy roster again. If we could get both Brent and Richie back we would be at about 98% strength again.

RE: Middle Tennessee @ UAB
from an article on our official site:
Injuries have forced several key offensive pieces, including Brent Stockstill, Richie James, Shane Tucker, offensive lineman Chandler Brewer, receiver Patrick Smith, running back Terelle West and others, to miss time already. Defensively, linemen Walter Brady and Malik Manciel and cornerback Mike Minter have also all been hampered.
The good news is all but James and Brent Stockstill appear to be back and healthy enough to contribute. But, while the two have started doing more in practice, it's hard to say whether the former Freshman All-Americans will join their team on the field to start the second half of the season.

I'm not so sure about that. Statements made by AJ...
"Nothing against (Rick Stockstill) and no hard feelings whatsoever. I was just looking to get on the field some more. I loved my time at Middle. It was an awesome time. I love all those guys over there. Coach Stock and the staff that we had then was great. I would say it's just another game. Middle's got a heck of a team this year, but it's just another game for us."

IF, UAB can win tonight, they have a definite path to bowl eligibility @ 4 -2 with Rice, UTEP, and Charlotte left on the schedule.

RE: Middle Tennessee @ UAB
End of 1, MT leads 10-9.
All nine points can be indirectly attributed to a late hit. MT holds UAB to three and out on first two possessions but a boneheaded stupid late hit penalty gives UAB first down, followed by a TD. Followed by screw up on the ensuing kickoff and safety. Argh. Typical MT crap.
UAB playing bette than MT right now especially up front - on both sides of the ball.

So many drives in the redzone end up in FG attempts (or interceptions) with Urzua running the offense.

If you are in the stadium, the announcers commented on it that the video people didn't show the replay on the jumbotron that showed his knee was obviously down. The color guy said his whole body was down and that it was an obvious reversal.
