7 seconds into the 2q of the 2017 army game? Sadly it should have been after Memphis or CH in 2012. I have never seen a home team get assaulted and virtually no reaction from the crowd due to lack of care.

My reaction was get out of the seat and leave the stadium. But that was after the 3rd turnover. So I guess I missed the assault.

This is looking more and more like 1-11. I'm just glad we got 1. UAB beat La Tech, so they're no gimme.
As for OO's concerns that a new guy might be worse, I'd take 0-12 next year just to get a change.

At this point, I'll believe it when I see it.

Perfect time to do it is right after this game (off week). Give the interim coach two weeks to prep for the next game.

Not going to happen either, unless he finally tells the Board, "Bailiff goes or I go."

You don't know how close to Bailiff was to being lynched during the first half of 2012. There was a pretty large group of alums spanning 5 decades at Rice, including a number of former players and some prominent donors, who were preparing a letter to Leebron. Unfortunatley, by the time the group finalized the letter (which was sent), we had won 2 or 3 in a row.

With all due respect - and thank you for the effort and initiative to write - the BOT does not seem to give a damn what a few vocal alumni think of their football coach.

Everyone email JK while the game is still going and cc Leebron. If nothing else, it will be annoying having to wade through tens of emails...

The group included a former BOT member.

It should have been after 2009. But this all became moot very long ago.

And also, what Frizzy said.

I wrote JK an e-mail this week regarding the V2C2 and lack of mention of Rice athletics or our student-athlete, and received no response. First time I have not received a response from him.

I have sent emails repeatedly. JK asks for time and patience and to trust him.

I also make sure to forward JK his previous responses and my explanation that nothing has changed.

I'm done with him, he needs to go too.

Understood, but it's looking more and more like the BOT is like a small-town city council, where the owner of the car dealership decides who to hire and fire.

Unfortunately, in retrospect, that winning streak at the end of 2012 might have been the worst thing that could possibly have happened.
