I get loyalty to seniors, it's good for the brand, but they aren't Fickell's guys. They pimped the hell out of White because he's a local kid that made the choice to stay, so you reward that kid by putting him out there. That's even better for the brand. Just my opinion, but at this point I really don't care who the QB is, we aren't winning any championships with either Moore or Trail, I'm a lot more worried about the freshman that the staff made such a huge deal about on social media getting a shot for making the choice to come to UC.

I can't wait to see him, but I wouldn't put him out there for a lost cause kind of year. Stick with Hayden or Ross this year and he'll be competing for the job next year.

Being able to tell recruits that most of the frosh class earned letters this first year would have to resonate with many recruits.

Most of these kids are not wired to sit for a year or two before seeing the field for a snap. If you are a competitor and you feel like you are ready physically, who would be? If you are going to a football factory that is one thing. But if not, I'd have to think kids want to go someplace that they are not slotted due to year. My guess is guys like Warren and Potts and White and others from this past class were told that the amount of playing time they got in year #1 was up to them. Give them the opportunity and see what they do with it physically and how they are wired....experience and teaching can come.

Experience when you don't have the physical tools and/or the hardwiring doesn't make much of a difference, IMO.
