Remember Purdue fired Lester and he wasn’t offered chance to stay on with new staff. 99 percent of us have moved on from PJ since the season started. Unfortunately Lester is still fighting the ghost who sits in his char.

For sure! Coaching's definitely to blame on the awful performances by Jackson and DP, but sticking to the running game with Jarvion in OT was smart. That being said, I probably would've passed on a couple of our 2pt conversions we failed at. I don't blame him for going for it on that 4th down conversion (in the 3rd or 4th was it?) A TD there and I think UB struggles to keep up. (We made a similar move vs NIU Fleck's second year and it gave us an L) but here I think it was the right move.
Still, a great win for Lester. These are the games that separate the men from the boys.
Please. This team is beyond needing Buffalo to teach them toughness. Lester needs to stop trying to be their friend. He wants them to like him more than Pj. His “getting after them” when he does is nothing compared to what they are conditioned to. He doesn’t get through to them. This is obvious. But Everyone will likely say yay we won and the issues will continue. Wait til November when we go 1-3 which is what happens if they don’t change something.
#Heather is that you!!!!
Peej vs the guy who got his dream Purdue Job. Clearly Purdue picked the right guy.

I think you are spot on.
The players don't need to be taught toughness, but Lester needs to be taught how to coach. This game was a big lesson for him. That's what I'm trying to say. He needs to (and he should) look at this game and see where he went wrong himself and what he needs to do to fix it. This game was a huge stepping-stone for him. Fleck had a whole year of losses where he learned how to win, and even had a few others the next 2 years, before we went 13-1.

Purdue fired him because they needed a full re-build. It had little - if anything - to do with his individual performance.

Had a chance to really put the game away. Of the mistakes made this game, I don't think this was one. Sometimes you have to take a risk or 2.

Hey, WE WON! WE WON in Buffalo, against a good team. In 8 OT's. We never quit.
Some of you act like we lost or something.
Did we make a lot of mistakes out there, you bet! Lester is more aware of that than anybody. We played like crap on Defense for 3 quarters, but we STILL WON. When you can play like crap and still beat a good program, on their field, you're doing OK.

We've made a lot of ******* mistakes all year! Not just blown coverages but stupid penalties that could of cost us the game. Thats 100% coaching.

Lester will only get better. To still be 4-2, undefeated in the MAC, and still in your learning year, I'll take it.

Point taken. A road win is a road win.
I gotta ask though.. exactly how do you define a "good program"?
There is an article on CBS Sports' website that says it's the first time since 2010 that a MAC school scored 70 in a game. Unfortunately Tom Fornelli failed to do his homework and I haven't figured out how to comment on his article that the Broncos put up more than 70 in a game in 2016.

Against an FCS team. C'mon.
Hey, he did not stipulate that scoring 70 against an FBS school. He just said the last school to score 70.
