He continues to boggle my mind with odd choices in his politics. I won't go into too many details because some I realize are politically motivated and he is a Republican and I am a Democrat so I'm going to be opposed to his ideology.

But one thing he did the other day I thought was particularly grating when he tweeted out a photo of him meeting with the UH athletic director and another UH athletics official. I'm trying to recall if we've ever seen him at a Rice sporting event of any type?

I can go on with other examples if people want them. But I post this because I have seen rumblings here in Fort Bend County that sheriff Troy Nehls is considering running in the Republican primary against Olson. As I said, I'm a Democrat but I hope Nehls does it. I like Nehls and he is one of the few Republicans I would vote for. Sorry but Olson is useless and it's time for him to go.

Not only is he doing the Coog Paw, he appears to be inadvertently flashing the Hook 'em Horns sign upside down with his left hand. Closet Okie, right there.

That picture looks like it was taken at Olson's office.

Do our AD and posse ever go on such visits? Does Rice policy even allow it?

This seems to be the relevant question. I would think that he would pose with any delegation that came to visit. That would be good politics.
