Someone had to do it..... score prediction time. I'd say rub off last Saturday beat down but do not believe that's possible, will last awhile.

Edit: Black and gold glasses are still on I suppose, Southern Miss 21 UTSA 17. UTSA appears to be a run first team which is our strength. UTSA defense does appear to be the real deal. Our defense should be pissed and ready for game day. Offense won't be much but enough for three scores. Will not surprise me to see UTSA take it to the air coping North Texas second half game plan.

Last week coaching marathon is still bizarre to these eyeballs. Wtf ever they saw I did not. As you say, more Ito and add to it, more pass rush. It really is simple as that, at least for last week.

More Ito IF we load up with 2 TE's or a Fullback.....Those dive plays out of the shotgun are rarely working UNLESS Ito makes 3 or 4 guys miss him....

Thought a more 2 dimensional QB would open things up but we wind up throwing on 1st down, incomplete....then dive play, for 3 yards.....then 3rd down attempted pass, harassment, and incomplete.

Also thought we would run more option, but maybe Griggs ain't adept at it...

Guess it's what I get for thinking!

^exactly, we'll beat UTSA, everyone will feel good... then we'll lose at home to UTEP.

More like we'll beat UTSA and lose to UAB. We will then have completed another TTT moment to add to our glorious recent past. Not only will we have lost to every upstart program but lose to one that hasn't fielded a team in 2 years.

Yep pretty much my attitude but lean towards the pessimistic side. I'm not even gonna watch. UTSA, North Texas, etc etc etc, who gives a ****.

We may have a chance against UTSA. They gashed us with the run last year and we have a pretty good run defense this year. I do think UTSA is the best team on our schedule this year, but we match up well against the run.

Do you recall the saying years ago....."There are 3 constants in the Universe. Death, Taxes, and USM over UAB." ?? That was after when 9 seasons in a row.

it's been tough watching this play out since '74 vs. post realignment.....

regardless, too many joys and tears to bow out now....

in all earnest, it's what being a fan over that time frame has made it quite enjoyable.....

...and as a StL Card fan, I wouldn't trade it for any other.....it's been a blast!!!
