Football, NFL and college. The day before I'll be at my wife's family's place and there is a cricket Test that night. It has me shook. I hate watching tests.

Commie!

14-0 Packers. Bears really struggling. I guess they are still high from that win against the Steelers.

Bears-Packers are playing on Thanksgiving? How are you able to watch the game? Especially one so far into the future?

21-7 Packers halftime. Rodgers has 2 touchdowns. Game is CBS. Nice size crowd.
Bongborns just beat the Iowa State Bugle snack helmets. 17-7

NFL. Naw.

I will be on a Ft Lauderdale beach and the fishing pier enjoying sunshine, 80 degree weather and enjoying watch the kite surfers, swimming and hopefully catching a few fish. Then Watching Western finishing off a 3peat in football down in Miami the next day.

Well the first part is 100%. From the way things look right now 3peating might be harder than democrats finding a Russian connected to our President. Both seems impossible

At my age? I guess I'll be watching a few things: The Grandkids, my sodium intake, and my waistline. But to be truly thankful, I'll try not to watch the news. Everything else is a blessing!

If I get up early enough probably some of the parades on tv. I'll probably catch 1-2 of the earlier NFL games, all dependent on how work will shake out for Thanksgiving evening and DATG. Honestly though, because they always stick the Lions and the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day and that along with working retail, I've never done much with the NFL on that day.

Who won the Lions game, oh wise sage? Can you give me the score of the Cowboys game as well?

RE: What will you watch on Thanksgiving?
Typical lefty when clicking on a thread...."Hey it says "What will I watch on Thanksgiving". I'm going to click on it and tell them what I'm watching tonight. That'll really show 'em!".

Followed by...
OP: What will you watch on Thanksgiving?
Lefty: Football. Bears are losing to the Packers 14-0. Aaron Rodgers looking SWEET right now.
OP: Yeah, but I asked what you were going to watch on Thanksgiving. Not what are you watching right now.
Lefty: Packers win 35-14. Aaron Rodgers is sooooooo awesome, I'm glad I watched him tonight and told everyone I was watching him. I'm so smart and witty.

There is a test match in cricket on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Test matches are the longest form of cricket and go on for 5 days at 6-ish hours a day. While I can enjoy the shorter forms of cricket, I hate test cricket. It's slower and the teams don't try to get as many points in a short amount of time.

The prospect of watching it has come up because my wife's family is cricket crazy and they must watch the West Indies, India, Pakistan (to see them lose), and England (to see them lose). It just happens that England is one of the teams playing that day.

RE: What will you watch on Thanksgiving?
I went to the Rugby World Cup semifinals and finals in UK in 1999. The first semi was Australia over South Africa in overtime, with the margin a 50-yard drop-kick field goal by a player (Stephen Markham) who never attempted another drop kick in his entire professional career. The other was France, as a 31-1/2 point underdog, coming from 14 points down to upset New Zealand. The final was ant-climactic after those two, Australia 35-12.

On the way home the next day, I changed planes in Detroit. There was an NFL game on TV os the snack bar near my departure gate. I ordered a hot dog and a coke. There was a replay review going on. I ordered, got, and ate my hot dog before play resumed. I decided then and there that I would rather watch rugby than the NFL.
