Okay, that looks like a full time, professional level job.

What that says to me, is that JJ's father has a job which is NOT related to the son's college future.

That is, there wouldn't be a 'father-son package deal' UNLESS JJ stays at UDM for another year.

https://www.spireinstitute.org/basketball

It is mid-July and there are some very, very good prospect from Detroit area schools who are transferring and haven't found a home (Jermaine Jackson Jr. and Greg Eboigbodin).

If I'm a MAC HC with an available scholarship, I'm trying, trying, trying...

If you read the Detroit board, their fans weren’t crazy about “JJJ”.
I watched him play all last season and he’s a really talented young man.
His decision making/shot selection that their fans complained about will hopefully mature over time.

Assume he is a 2019 recruiting target:

http://verbalcommits.com/players/charles-manning-jr

Very athletic. He is from out on Long Island. Sounds like someone that Wooten knows from his time in N.Y.

I know some were worried, but Andre Rafus is officially on campus and working out.

He's very skinny.

Thanks. I, too, was told that all are on campus and working out.

Maybe he is our Tim Bond II with an excellent outside shot. A little taller. More meat on the bones (but not muscular). A very, very good outside shooter. If he develops as much as Timmy developed we have a superstar.

Like I posted somewhere, I saw a h.s. tape of his and the h.s. tape of a 3 star recruit I know who went to an ACC school, and Rafus is much better across the board, taller, more natural shot, etc.

I see Rafus as closer to a 4 star recruit, than a 3 star. A remember 4 star recruits aren't too common and 5 star recruits are not common at all. I just checked 247sports and they have about 25 5 star recruits for 2019. And about 125 4 star recruits. Being a 4-star recruit is elite company.

BTW, other than Timmy who was a freak of nature, being unable to gain weight, EMU and all other universities have nutrition tables. Rafus will not be lacking for calories. Can he keep them on??? Who knows. He might be Timmy II is not being able to gain weight.

Steve, I saw that Rafus was a 4* recruit at one time. Don't know what he's rated currently but the 4* ranking might be partially attributed to the P5 schools that were offering him. Hopefully we can keep him elgible.

BTW, I noticed that Rafus tweeted out he is going to be MAC conference plsyer of the as a freshman. (Not MAC freshman) of the year. I love his enthusiasm and confidence but he needs to pump the brakes :-)

That's a bold statement when he may not even be in the top 3 of players on the EMU team. Maybe he needs a reality check to understand the Mid-American Conference is not something he should take for granted.

Nothing really new except we have more MAC schools who have offered, now including Akron and Buffalo.

I like his game. He is a really good slasher/scorer.

RE: 2018/9 EMU Men's Basketball Recruiting
I went to an event called Hot Dogs and Hoops at Oakland U. several weeks ago and noticed a Freshman named Jackie Harris. It said he was from Lambertville, MI. I kind of assumed he was Jeremiah Harris' younger brother. It turns out he is. He must of been on campus often when he was in high school. I wonder if Murphy tried to recruit him. As a 2 time Ohio All State player, I hope so.

Huroneagle, I guarantee not!!!!!! He's not a transfer, or A JUCO...…..He only offers freshman typically from far away California, Washington, Arizona, etc...…..I live near Columbus, Ohio, and there's a kid Von Cameron Davis from Walnut Ridge, I think 6 or 7 MAC schools have offered him, but not EMU! This is who Murphy is...……...
