The FBI is very protective of their conviction rate. They don't make arrests unless they feel 100% sure that they will get a conviction.

"Our investigation is ongoing... and anyone with additional information can call the FBI hotline."

"If you are aware of others who have engaged in this kind of conduct, please call us."

"We'll see how pervasive it is."

Wait until they start singing. Once they face jail time they all will be trying to cut a deal by ratting out others.

Practicing their singing lessons!

That's true of Federal law enforcement as a whole. They don't have a lot of manpower to cover a country of 350 million people, so they count on a high conviction rate (and sometimes, draconian sentences), among other things, to make themselves look as intimidating as possible to potential miscreants.

Death Penalty is definitely something that could happen and should. Busted paying players while on probation for prostitution. Unbelievable.

NEW STORY: University of Louisville appears linked to federal college basketball corruption probe http://bit.ly/2hx0VXs via @WDRBNews

"The accusations involve a "public research university" in Kentucky with 22,640 students and more than 7,000 faculty and staff, according to the court records. U of L had 22,640 students enrolled as of last fall, according to the university's website."

You can bet that those "enrollment figures" will come off of the UofL website----right about---now.

About time someone did something. Hopefully something REAL comes out of this. We all know the NCAA had zero backbone. Hopefully this crap is reigned in. I've honestly gone from growing up a big fan of college hoops to pretty much hating the sport. College Basketball recruiting is probably the most disgusting thing in all of sports. The handlers, the fraudsters, the shoe companies, the TV networks, the hangers on, the scam artists. It's just absolutely disgusting.

Kansas, Miami Fl, Indiana, former teams like UCLA and Notre Dame, etc. This is a huge investigation, and already linked with a lot of NCAA "untouchables".

Its interesting to see Auburn named--- they are an Under Armour school.

The Auburn coach, Bruce Pearl is a serial rules violator. The Auburn administration must have known what they were getting when they hired this guy. Auburn has been horrible in basketball for most of its history and hiring Pearl was their shortcut to "prominence". How's that gonna work for them now?

I don't know what's more corrupt, pro boxing or "amateur" basketball.

Xavier, better get ready. They will be comin' and lookin' at you.

Could it be that is how Jordan Crawford (2009-10) and Tu Holloway (2008-12) ended up at XU? The timeline certainly matches up from when Richardson was there. (2007-2009)

Sure does.

Amateur basketball hands down. At least boxing doesn't really try to hide it LOL

Let's assume for a second that the NCAA has a semblance of a backbone.

So if a school, any school, were already on probation then the penalties should be far harsher than that of a first time offender or a first time in a long time offender, no? I mean the point of probation is basically a continuous warning to not f*ck up again or else it's game over? And with something this egregious, regardless of probation, the punishment would have to be severe anyway. So add this train wreck on to a school that's already on probation and what do you get? The Death Penalty.

The NCAA will say they don't have jurisdiction over Federal criminal matters. Sooo, "live, tonight, 9pm on ESPN, Syracuse vs. Louisville. Don't miss it!!!"

You know how fans sometimes get mad at Mick for quickly cutting ties on highly rated recruits. Yeah, about that......

This x1000

Oh geez. Is this the latest excuse we're going with for how/ why, Mick, can't recruit some of the better kids out there? Accepting this as rational means implicitly suggesting that all highly rated kids require these types of perks. Until we see evidence of this, I'll just keep on 03-zzz

On another note, ol buddy at Auburn can't stay away from drama. Get canned at Tenn for cheating, no lessons learned, nor fux given....participate all over again at Auburn.

The NCAA has been relatively hands-off towards corruption because it fears that the P5 conferences will form their own sanctioning entity, and take their money with them.

I really think this whole P5 thing and these outrageous network deals are going to blow up the next go round. Might even go back to the more traditional conferences. Interest is falling off big-time in ESPN and football at all levels. It's amazing how few kids these days are playing football compared to a couple of decades ago.

I am sure a lot of arrests will be made, and call me a pessimist, but for some reason I feel like our feathered friends in Louisville will get another slap on the wrist.
