Don't be surprised when the NFL ratings start dropping then. Just because you feel a certain way doesn't mean others don't. A lot of us are fed up with the political bullsh!t.

He's being shamed because they ALL agreed not to go out so no one would be forced to take a side and then he went out and made it look like he was the only one who wanted to be out there. He made the rest of the team look bad by showing them up. Thats the point, but i'm not shocked you don't get that.

Sounds like not ALL agreed apparently. I personally find it encouraging that Ali had the moral courage to do what he felt was right. Speaks well of him which is also not a surprise given what he had done before this past weekend.

No one has the legal right to take a knee while at work or make any kind of political display that may have ramifications to their employer. Everyone forgets all these players are at work. Trump should not have weighed in but let's lose all the "it is their right to do so". It is, however, the right of the team owner to fire anyone who performs an act, not protected by the constitution, when that act is injurious to the company. (Reduction of revenue to the Team, NFL...etc...)

The DOD paid the NFL to have the players out for the anthem which only started in 2009 as a recruitment tool. Yeah, so keep on wrapping yourself in the flag.

Well since those players didn't get a nickle of that money the owners got from the DOD to put on those patriotic recruiting scenes I think they have a very good case if any of them are ever fired for taking a knee. Their job isn't to stand for the anthem, it's to play FB.

So it's cool for him to make the rest of his teammates even the ones who would have never taken a knee look bad? That doesn't say someone of high character to me. It sounds like someone who is a me first person who is a distraction to the team and a locker room cancer. 07-coffee3

What would be their defense against their employer. Nothing falls under discrimination because whites are kneeling as well. What protection under the constitution would the owners be violating other than people's feelings?

on the same breathe, my job cant force me to stand and pledge allegiance every morning
that has nothing to do with my work

they could try and fire me for it, but i could sue and would likely win

By the way NFL contracts have a clause that anything done to the detriment of the NFL or the team is an immediate dismissal. This is costing the teams and the NFL immeasurable amounts of money
