NMSU is in the process of giving him a contract extension.
I like where NMSU is headed, but it's a little early for that.

The ratings when he's around are the best. They really, really are. Believe me. He's a tremendous guy - no lightweight, I assure you. He's saved this board from being a total disaster many, many times. I get called all the time, people asking me when is Paul of Troy coming back? Very, very soon, I tell them. Very soon. We’re losing a lot of people because of twitter, and frankly, Paul of Troy is the only one who can fix this. He's a terrific guy, I'm telling you, and we're going to be seeing a lot more of him. Believe me.

His momentum has stalled.
The first guy usually hits a wall that's less than satisfying, and the school usually holds on to him too long because he built the program from the ground up. It's a shame.

Hudspeth's seat isn't hot. I'm almost 100% certain he will be fired if what I heard today is true. So for me, Joey Jones is the only one on the hot seat, since he is the only one of the three who might be able to salvage his job.

Remember when Hud was a hero and was a half step away from being hired by a P5 school. Heck, had he been able to keep it together for another year he might of gotten the sniff at LSU.
Now he's a half step from getting his walking papers. He would be the one that might land another G5 job, the other 2, probably not.

Ever since App played Louisiana in 2014, it's been downhill for him.
Yes, it's our fault.

Don't flatter yourself. It's been down hill for many reasons. None of which involve Happy Appy.

The NMSU message board is talking about giving Martin an extension. He wins both of these games each year and losses the rest would buy him a decade extension. I am rooting for the Aggies this year!
Go Vandals.

They should get 6 with Texas State, ULL, GS, and USA on the schedule. Other three games are @ App, vs AState, vs Idaho. If they could win one of those, it's a 7 win season, which would be incredible considering.

Let's remember it's been over 50 years since NMSU has been bowling.
He's beaten the two arch rivals in the same season and the Aggies should be bowling this year.
I'd give him an extension, too. It's one of the toughest places to win in college football.

Not necessarily a hot seat topic, but Coach Petrino won't be at Idaho once we go FCS. At least your team has the opportunity to play at the FBS level with a new coach.

Tyson Summers and it isn't even close. pretty much the entire fan base want him and the A.D. gone. I'm of the mind that we had better be ready to pony out the cash and be very careful with our next hire, cause if we screw this up again it'll be a looooooooong time to recover.

They should be in this league.
Also, very glad we are continuing the series in future years.

For Cajun fans --
I'm no HUD defender by any means... but the whole NCAA thing that the Cajuns were getting punished for -- whatever happened to that? I've not heard anything about it in what seems like years. Has that hampered Hud in any way?
