Although I'm not confident in this, I'd say Charlotte over UAB and they get the win first... but... UTEP may beat Army first

Not trying to beat down UTEP but, WTH is going on and why hasn't coach been kicked to the curb. Program is better than this with solid fan support. We need a strong UTEP

Hmm. While I think UTEP would win the head to head, Charlotte has a chance against FIU this week. UTEP may very well be out of chances.

I'm fully expecting a Western loss when I arrive in El Paso two weeks from now. On paper it shouldn't be. But I've got zero faith in this staff right now. This kid Sanford is lost as a ball in high weeds.

Don't let last night's score fool you. That game was very well headed to a Western loss and we'd be sitting at 1-3 with our only win over a bad FCS team.

I'm still pumped about going though. First time I've ever been to El Paso. My son attended a bowl game there years ago when Stanford played in it and said it was a great setting. We'll probably be 2 of less than 100 Western fans. I do know 4 others that are going. My boy WKUYG and his wife and another friend I tailgate with is going with his son. They're visiting the AFA on fall break and then heading down to El Paso for the football game.

I'm glad the majority is voting for UTEP, but the big question is against who? I seriously don't see a win in our schedule.

Charlotte and UTEP seem to have made a huge step back this season and I would not be surprised if neither gets that vaunted first win.

Charlotte will get their next win vs Fordham on 9/1 2018 which will be a couple of hours earlier than UTEP's next win on the same date vs NAU but later that night. So I picked Charlotte. I don't think either one will get a win this season. Not even close.

I voted Charlotte because I think they have the best chance next week. But if they don't get it against FIU, it may well be next year before we know the answer to this question.
