After Week 4... What is Your Stregth/Weakness?
The season is 1/3 of the way over and we have seen our teams enough to know what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong.
What does your team do best? Worst? And, what do you realistically think you can improve on in the coming weeks?

Beat me to it. While your punting has been good our is a little bit better. You are ranked 9th in the nation we are 6th.

RE: After Week 4... What is Your Stregth/Weakness?
If we are at 100% then we are the best team in the league IMO. Ranked 33rd in total defense. That is a gargantuan improvement. If we can just get our ballers back on offense we will be tough to beat. I don't care how bad BGSU is. We just won a game with virtually the second string offense.
As I said before if we get Brent back by FAU, we will run the table. If he doesn't return then we are looking at a 7 or 8 win season and will probably finish third in the east.

By the way, I am absolutely fascinated with what's happening this year. A league that has been nothing but lights out on offense has suddenly turned into a decent defensive league with some crappy offenses. How did that happen?

RE: After Week 4... What is Your Stregth/Weakness?
Strengths: Defense, ranked #6, WR & RB
Weaknesses: Off line has played OK (so far), we play La Tech & UTSA on the road
As for injuries, our 2nd and 3rd string TB's haven't played all year....our "possession" receiver is out for year...and our best DB is out for year----AND WE AIN'T CRYIN' SO QUIT YOUR BELLYACHING!
When Mullens was out for half the season last year, no one felt sorry for USM as the losses piled up....so we aren't gonna feel sorry when it happens to you!

Not bellyaching. We are just a different team with Stockstill than with out. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure that out. If he returns then we could have a really good year. If he doesn't we won't. It's as simple as that.

I'd have to say Marshall's offense, not so much the players, but the Offensive Coordinator doesn't exactly light up the scoreboard with the players he has, the Kent St. game should not have been close.

FAU still can not stop the run or option plays.

I'll say you guys looked good against SC. The only thing that stuck out in my mind was your QB seemed to be a one receiver guy. Locks in on one guy. Other than the INT in the red zone it didn't seem to hurt you much. The receivers did a good job of getting open for the most part.
Lastly the run d is maybe a little suspect. Maybe not. We'll see.

You are 100% correct about LA Tech's QB. He's young (I hate using that excuse), and he stares down his intended receiver like he's going to pick their pocket. Instead of throwing more picks, somebody needs to take him to Joe Aillet Stadium and teach him how to throw a ball into row 15 of the stands.
I think you are wrong about LA Tech's run D. South Carolina ran the ball 32 times yesterday for 143 yards (4.5 avg) and 1 TD. 35 of those yards came on 1 play near the end of the game. And this was an SEC team in their home stadium in front of 71K fans. I'll take that kind of performance every week.

I did say maybe. The reason I say that is SC had no running game prior. Had averaged 2.8 ydsper in the previous games. Not exactly a rushing juggernaut. But like I also said, y'all looked like the better team, just sucks y'all didn't get out of there with the W.
