Just curious. My daughter has an interview with Mckinsey this week, I thought it might be insightful to have had read the report beforehand. Of course their are a ton of questions I wish she could ask, but I would never put her in that position.

By the way kudos to anyone who is a consultant. The interview process is brutal.

Is she applying for -- or have a preference/training for -- a particular area/practice of McKinsey? (If so, is her interest in sports or higher-education management, for which the Rice report would be applicable?) Or do they interview just for the firm in general?

In any case, good luck to your daughter. :-)

She is applying for a Business Analyst role. The report wouldn't be applicable other than a conversation piece. It is an interesting process. I used to be of the mindset that it didn't matter where you got your degree. But seeing what she is going through, is so different than my own experience. The support system that Rice provides and the companies that it attracts are miles ahead of what I was exposed to.
