RE: Some Stats after the OOC
Rockets are currently on pace to break all the team penalty yard records, and not in a good way. Through 4 games, the Rockets have 41 Penalties for 357 Yards, or 10.25 penalties and 89.2 yards per game. Team Record for penalties per game in a season is 9.3 - in 1951! Modern record is 8.6 in 2001. Record for yards is 83.6, also in 1951. Modern record in 80.0, again in 2001.
Also of note, Vest has 11 FGs in 4 games, which puts him on a pace to hit more than 35 FGs for the season. More if the Rockets make the MACC Game. The current record in 24 by Detmer in 2012. No offense meant to Jameson, but I hope he doesn't get that many - because from here out the Rockets only score TDs.

RE: Some Stats after the OOC
Some of the penalties in the Miami game were caused by the level of sound in the stadium. The level of the PA system playing music with the 49,000+ fans made it almost impossible to hear anything. Personally I don't think UT will break the record in penalties. Here's how they look by game:
Elon 2-20yds
Nevada 14-110yds
Tulsa 15-115yds
Miami 10- 77yds
Actually the Miami game was an improvement and I think the Rockets will keep improving.
