And we throw the interception. Hansen is out. Bonner, backup is in. Going to be a long night.

It appears our trainers put butter on the gloves of all the defensive players. Not a solid tackle all night.

I'm handing off. I can't watch any more of this. Someone who's tuned in can post.

I guess I'm confused in the sunbelt this year ? I really thought A state would handle this game.

I had my doubts because we lost some brutes on the d line. Offense is fun but I still believe you win with defense. I have yet to see us play good defense. Now we play team's that are comparable to us. We will see if that makes a difference.

I don't think any of us thought we'd handle it. SMU averages close to 50 points per game for a reason. But I think most of us thought we'd be able to match them score for score, and perhaps force enough field goals to get the win.
First half was ridiculous mistake after ridiculous mistake, then we lost Hansen and everything caved in. SMU basically blitzed every single play, and we had a Freshman QB in there. Not much fun.
Odd thing is, I think the Top 3 in the league are still the Top 3. I just don't think the gap is as wide as we all thought it was.
I guess in our case, it's a good time to open conference play with Southern and Coastal back to back.

This is as far as this staff takes us. Either have to learn to accept it or sell my tickets.
Pitiful.

I have said before and still believe that Anderson and crew recruit well, but don't seem to limit mistakes and prepare as well. That is why his teams usually get smoked by teams with more or even talent but can win in SBC play. I don't care for Seminole's posts, but I do think he is right on the talent issue.
It that good enough? Could someone else do better? Who knows. I'm glad he is here instead of Harsin. I'm glad we didn't hold onto Brother Hugh, The job and vision were bigger than Roberts. So if we can't get Malazahn back, what are we supposed to do?

Thing is, we weren't winning OOC games before Anderson got here either. Our last OOC road win was 10 years ago.
Problem is that Anderson's been at this for 4 years now and promised we'd get better at it, but nothings happened. Now we get to go dominate the Sun Belt again and he and the staff can continue to hide our terrible OOC results behind the veil of a conference championship.

Your team has talent, and that is obvious.
They are just not playing well, and SMU is playing well.
Still not as bad as they were at the start of last year.
