This could be Penders' biggest challenge yet, and I just hope that the Coogs come out ready to play. With the brutal schedule aTm has played, they're going to be ready for whatever we can throw at them. I just hope we can play the Aggies as closely as the Beaumont YWCA Pee-Wee B-Team did.

:D

Aw, I can't keep a straight face on this one. I hope the Coogs come out mad, wipe the floor with some Aggie arse, and leave the maroon masses slack-jawed with disappointment (not that we can tell the difference). Furthermore, I hope there will be bountiful pics for "Caption This!" fodder tomorrow.

Go Coogs! 04-rock

Quote:Houston Falls Short At Texas A&M, 93-80
Lanny Smith leads the Cougars with 26 points.

Dec. 29, 2004

Final Stats

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Acie Law had 25 points and nine assists and Joseph Jones added 23 points and 10 rebounds as Texas A&M beat Houston 93-80 Wednesday night.

A&M is off to a 10-0 start under new coach Billy Gillispie, the Aggies' best start since the 1959-60 team also won its first 10.

The Aggies, who also got 19 points from Antoine Wright and 15 from Dominique Kirk, jumped to a 52-40 halftime lead on 59 percent shooting. They shot 50 percent for the game, led by Jones (8-of-10) and Law (6-of-11).

But Houston (8-5) kept things fairly close thanks to Lanny Smith, who scored 22 of his 26 points in the first half. Smith hit 4-of-9 3-pointers as the Cougars shot 38 percent from behind the arc. Ramon Dyer and Dwight Jones II added 14 apiece for Houston.

But the Cougars hit only 57 percent from the free throw line.

A&M outrebounded Houston 47-29, led by Jones and Chris Walker's nine rebounds

Will we ever field a team that can shoot free throws?

Looks like we can't dog atm's soft schedule anymore.

Perhaps not. But we can still dog other things, I hope? This is too funny to keep to myself. :D

Part of my job, as math & computer science librarian, is to select library materials for the Math/CS department. So, I'm reviewing a bunch of ACM (Assoc. for Computing Machinery) conference proceedings, deciding whether we need to start a print subscription (mostly "no" b/c we get them online, but I digress). So anyway, I'm looking stuff up online, and I come to a listing of little video clips from a conference proceedings DVD.

So there's one from the Texas A&M Visualization Laboratory, and it's called "Attack of the Note Sheep". I am not making this up --
<a href='http://www.siggraph.org/publications/video-review/sig2004/147.shtml' target='_blank'>check it out, SIGGRAPH 2004</a>. (The links might or might not work. Sorry if they don't.)

I guess it just goes to show you -- they may have beaten us at basketball, but they've STILL got sheep on the brain. :eek2:

Well now that the chicken ranch is shut down those farm boys got to do something with their time. :D

I do not think I will be doing <span style='color:red'>MAUL</span> INGS for basketball. Instead ememies of the Coogs will prepare to be

<span style='font-family:Impact'><span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:red'>RUN OVER</span></span></span> by the Coogs. In fact later on today the Louisville board will be the first on the hit list.

Be careful over there! On the Big East boards, no one can hear you scream.
