We list 15 and that includes Abby. We're allowed 15 schollys. Maybe Coach O thinks enough of her to grant a ride.

Casey Irvine has NEVER played. Just saying.

Actually Casey played 1 minute in a game two years ago. Surprised the hell out of the wife and me. I can not figure why she is on the team, kinda like Samantha Mitchel a couple years back. On the roster but never played.

Yup. Some people don’t play much or at all on Division 1 basketball teams. Are we surprised?

Just pointing out that Casey has been in sweats for two entire seasons. I know she has struggled with a back injury and post concussion syndrome.

Seems like Coach O is a good guy for keeping her on the team.

Can WB do half scholarships? Or is it an all or nothing type of thing?

Thanks for the info. I was kinda wondering if she had some sort of long term lingering injury or not. Hope she is able to overcome them and get to play.

Morgan Smith actually has said her career is over also. She tweeted it late in the spring. She is suffering from post-concussion syndrome due to injury suffered in practice last year. She may not be on scholarship any longer. We don't know the details of who is and who isn't.

In men’s and women’s basketball they’re all full rides, plus considerations for COA (cost of attendance). No partials are allowed. 13 scholarships for men (max), 15 for women (max). I believe men and women may both have walk-ons, who are non-scholarship players on the roster. The number of walk-in’s are limited…one for each I believe, but someone should check me on that.

I noted on Raoul's website https://wbbblog.com/ that JMU has signed one of our commits, Mya Kone, a 6'1 wing out of Blanche Ely HS in Pompano Beach, FL. The other two, Cheyenne Rowe, a 6'2 F out of Bill Crothers SS in Markham, Ontario, and Kadidia Toure, a 6'2 C from Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney MD, both of whom committed in September, are listed as still unsigned. anyone know anything further? We can use this height!

If I remember correctly, I believe the WBB Facebook page posted last week that all three signed, however I don’t recall them posting it on the website.

Shoot a solid FG%
Shoot a solid 3 point %
Rebound well for the position
Plays good defense

Looks like she checks the last 2 boxes. Not encouraging numbers as a shooter or ball handler though. Maybe she can be a valuable cog.
