RE: Week 4 Lines
I have what may be kind of a stupid question but I don't gamble so it's out of my realm.

I understand that Wake @ App (+4) means App are 4 point underdogs. But is there a significance to listing the line as WF @ APP+4 vs listing it as WF-4 @ APP?

Is that the odds maker's way of saying what they think the outcome will be? ie, that's Vegas saying they think App will cover via the initial line?

+4 and -4 only represents the predicted winner and loser. The reason OP listed out either one is to represent what the Sun Belt teams line was. There is not difference in odds. He could have easily listed it out either + or - all the way down but it is simpler to list out what the spread on the Belt team is.

Essentially, Vegas is saying Wake by 4 points. Last year Miami was favored by 10, and this year Georgia was favored by 11. Each of those would read App +10 and App +11, respectively; or Miami -10, Georgia -11. It is saying the same thing.

I'm not sure that these are score predictions so much so as what line will bring in the most money. UNC was -10 over ODU last weekend on was up by 30 at half time.

In one word, no.

Coastal is a home dog . . .

To Western Illinois. I'm sure that is saying more about WIU than it is about Coastal as WIU is generally fields a solid Top 25 FCS squad. Seems that Vegas has forgotten Coastal's last couple years of FCS was domination of all teams not named North Dakota State.

Easy. Everyone now knows firing Ruffin was a bad deal; him and Lincoln Riley are now heading up the Oklahoma program and everyone see's how that is going.

I think technically you should only put it as a + if the home team is a dog.
