The worst part is that Kentucky still had it once they crossed into FG range.

Personally, I wouldn't have made that holding call, but you have to be careful when you have so little time on the clock. They would have made that kick from their original starting point.

It was a horrible call since it was crunch time and happened 5 yards behind the ball. But it has been a terrible trend lately that so many zebras want to get make game deciding calls. I don't like the trend!

And while I'm at it the first half call that the Mizzou Quarterback fumbled instead of throwing an awkward incomplete pass could not be justified either. How they could review that and come up with the call they did is mystifying, but then Arizona got hosed on about 3 or 4 such calls last night.

There was also the call in the A&M/Arkansas game where Mond was ruled out of bounds when he clearly never stepped out. Should have been a TD. Fortunately, A&M won anyway although it took OT.

It was a ridiculous call, but the SEC issued a statement and said the call was not reviewable.

Some of these refs are just plain bad at their job.

Louisiana is hurting financially. It's one reason they hired Coach O. He was cheaper than getting someone in a national search. The high costs of tickets, an inflation rate near 30% on groceries, and continued loss of decent paying jobs to corporations driving out independents, or locating overseas for cheaper wages, has only added to the woes in Louisiana. When those chains locate they all seek to keep the State's portion of sales tax until their buildings are paid for, and want a 50% reduction in local property tax before they will locate in a Parrish or County. All of it robs resources from the State and Local governments.

What's being felt there will be more visible in many venues in the years ahead.

While my team gained from that call , I will say that having two teams wearing similar colors opens up the possibility of this mistake.

Maybe now this type of play will be reviewed or challenged in the future? I don't know but I will say, it reminded me of a call when Arkansas and Alabama played were the Alabama DT did a spin move from a three point stance on the line of scrimmage and the refs called a holding penalty on the hogs that negated 7 points........and for a second there I thought the refs thought the hogs were 'Bama.

I think it's more of the fans not wanting to pay to see that level of play. Look at the Arkansas vs A&M game. All three of these teams are playing well below normal standards. Fans don't want to pay for that crap.

I think we'll see a major reshuffling of head coaches in this conference this offseason.

LSU should have paid Jimbo what he wanted in order to leave FSU last year. FSU just lost to NC STATE. His stock just dipped, but we'll see how this year pans out

I agree with most of what you are saying. But in Jimbo's defense Alabama beat him twice. Once in the opening game and again when they knocked his starting QB out for the season.

I am with you on hiring SEC head coaches on the cheap. Even the colleges are increasing ticket prices. I hope CFB doesn't fall into the money trap like the NFL has. Workers wages are not increasing like prices and the first luxury to go is sports events. HDTV is a lot cheaper.

I am enjoying watching Stanford beat the hell out of UCLA. Well, between the yellow flags.

The players tightened up, but the DC choked up that final TD. He's the one that should have demanded time. I felt badly for Mark Stoops it was clearly not his fault.

The Cats left WR's wide open at least twice which lead to two Florida TD's. They blew that game more than the Gators won it. I think the holding call was a bad call but why not just go ahead & kick the FG? You're already in range & bad things can happen, like a bad holding call!

What a sad state of affairs. I believe this team has quit on Odom. Pretty sure from the crowd size they have quit on Odom too. 03-puke

Barry Odom seems like a good guy, but I believe it's time to cut bait and start over.

It's not just Odom. Mizzou needs to clean house on that staff. The kids aren't motivated and it shows. They also lack some fundamentals that good coaches drill into the average player. There are a heckuva lot of arm tackles in the secondary which is what is permitting the big plays. The middle of their D line is stout enough. But their ends crash too early vacating the corner. And the fundamentals on pass coverage are non existent.

They have enough size and speed to be competitive. The staff is what wreaks.

Never understood how Mizzou let Coach Kool go. Dude was a legendary DL coach and Odom just pushed him out

Despite my fandom, I'm pulling for UGA to embarrass the Vols this Saturday.
