RE: NIU/Nebraska Highlights
You know how kids are supposed to have visions of sugar plums in their dreams around Christmas?

I was dreaming of Sutton Smith's sacks of the QB and tackles for loss in the backfield against Nebraska.

Is that wrong?

Nope.

Of all the articles I have seen to me this was the best:

http://www.qconline.com/sports/college_s...49e65.html

I had to look up Prophetstown; a town in Illinois with a little over 2,000 people. I can imagine how foreign Memorial Stadium is to Heflin!

Great article; thanks for sharing. Heflin sounds like a quality young kid; I love the "fat guy n the middle" line. Also impressed that Santa told the D the O was going to score, and then they did...nor sure many of us would have thought that was going to happen; pretty impressive.

I still have it on my DVR. Was able to replay and watch line of scrimmage more closely.

Was great to see DL peel off blockers to tackle ball carrier. I was impressed that I've seen a great improvement in fundamental tackling skills by wrapping up the ball carrier instead of just trying to knock him over with a shoulder pad hit.

I love that Nebraska's next opponent is Illinois. If/when Illinois loses, sets up a nice NIU-Illinois comparison discussion (though gritted teeth) for the Trib and Sun Times :)

Don't forget to adjust the Illinois final by 3.5 points for home field :)

Did anyone hear Wanny talk about how well coached our corners and linebackers were? Right at the half. "That's good coaching!"

No. If Smith looks good in the sack to you, go for it.
