That is exactly how the Winner of the War on I-4 ends up losing the AAC Championship Game

USF and UCF have a one game lead. Clearly. If either of those teams lose, it's anyone's game. With that, I fully expect UCF and USF to be undefeated when they play each other.

San Diego is done. Finished. The rest of your schedule looks like d1-aa. You are welcome to pick a P6 school and follow this drama to its completion.

Yes, with SDSU losing, AAC champ is a near lock for the NY6 bowl bid.
Would take a big upset in the AAC title game to upset the applecart.

I agree with you. The rest of our schedule looks like USF's and UCF's to this point. Nonetheless, we are a game behind them both, and now are in the same position USF fans have been........we have to "hope" another team loses. It is a sucky feeling.

Hmm. Really? Because I’m a USF fan and never had to hope that just kept rooting for my team to win

Agree to disagree. Point is moot now. I don't think there is anyone on the schedule to challenge either USF/UCF until they play each other.

This is not baseball. You've been behind since USF since Week 1 and you were both 0-0. You were also in very real danger of being jumped by another AAC team at the end of the season even if undefeated.
Please stop with this noble "well now the rest of you have a chance" shtick. SDSU is a good team but not the Alabama of the West (this was evident even before last night with your come from behind victories and close calls with bad teams). What hurts you the most, and we have been saying this since Day 1, is that the MWC has become a very "meh" conference. The AAC had 3 Top 25 teams last week. A very real possibility we could have four at the end of the year. This is why our conference schedule doesn't crush our champs like the MWC one does.
Now go get ready for Fresno, they look as good as Boise and we see how that turned out....

Agree with your last statement.
But with the wins we had OOC (Stanford and ASU), I just disagree with your first paragraph. The Stanford win is the win that keeps on winning. If last night would have been different, we would be talking about SDSU being in the Top 15. With that, it was not to be, and the point is now moot.
The AAC has zero chance of four ranked teams by the end of the season, as the system is set up to destroy you. Any loss, and the AAC team drops out, just as we will drop out of the Top 25, even with a victory over Stanford who will now be in the Top 20 with two losses, and a big victory over Arizona State who beat a Top 5 team. Sure, some might be receiving votes after losses, but they will drop out of the Top. Don't blame me, blame the system we all agreed to be apart of (sure, with a gun to our heads, but agreed nonetheless).
