Any update on Graham's extension now that the Athletic Department has been back from Australia for a couple weeks?

I would very much like to hear Dr K's comment on this article re Rice's competitiveness in recruiting and esp on Coach Graham's contract situation.

What would you like to hear him say about recruiting competitiveness?

At the most recent State of Athletics meeting JK acknowledged the disadvantages Rice faced (as well as some other schools) and said the NCAA had set up a committee to study it but that the matter had been tabled for I believe 2 years. My take was major powers like LSU and others didn't want to give up the advantage they had and forced the delay. From that JK offered no comment if Rice would seek changes to help its current situation.

Well, of late JK has offered no comment on anything, granted. But, wrt to financial aid policies of various universities, the subject of the article, there's little he can do directly.
I imagine most of the numerous schools playing D1 baseball are opposed to increasing the scholarship limit. Rice gets one vote.

I bet most private schools would vote with Rice, just not enough of them to push anything through. Rice has a better situation than Baylor and probably TCU due to the large sixe of the endowment. I know in Baylor's case that there not much money for need based scholarships. I think TCU would be in better shape due to same size endowment for a smaller student body.
