They should get rid of all those apartments on campus. Plenty of private apartments just off campus, why waste what little space is available on the west campus for cruddy looking apartments? Bulldoze them and put in some more greens, shrubbery and trees.

I agree, all of those old apartments should be demolished. However I am assuming that they don't want to lose the revenue entirely. If they put something more practical and better-looking up I could live with that.

What they should do is tell Central Michigan University that if they come and bring their trailers, they can load up those old buildings and drive them to Mount Pleasant to put on their campus. It would actually improve the appearance of both campuses at the same time.

Sounds like they're going to tear down the Elmwood apartments and completely re-do that part of campus.
