We thought getting SMU as a conference-mate was an upgrade but turns out they're just Loyola in a good decade.

Great comeback. Yet SMU basketball has won more conference championship than WSU, and ours were in major confeteces (SWC & AAC), we have made it just far in the NCAA tourney as WSU (final four) and we have made the same number of sweet 16s (6).

Really thought we were getting a good program in WSU but we are just getting another Texas Tech.

This dude just dropped a 1956 SMU Final Four in an argument to equate Wichita State to Texas Tech

I'm not a poster/fan from WSU, a school who's greatest athletic accomplishment is a basketball final four, joining a conference where every school except ECU has accomplished more than you have. You have never won anything and you come on this board like you have a couple of national championships. I bet if we assigned appropriate points to athletic accomplishments, WSU would probably rank last in the AAC.

Just to summarize:

SMU: We are in a major market fan support is impossible
WSU: Loyola is in a major market fan support is impossible
SMU: We have a Final Four in 1956 we're better than you
WSU: Don't care
SMU: We are better than you

Some schools in this conference I feel like have a way richer and better history than us. When I hear their name I think "basketball power." UConn, Cincy, Temple for sure. No one gives a flying f about SMU's basketball history. Your last tournament win was 20 years ago. You know who actually has a national championship? Loyola. And it was more recent than SMU's Final Four. I don't even recall their fans living in the past this much and that's literally all they have going for them, unlike SMU. Are we really going to argue Loyola has bragging rights over SMU and WSU because of a result 53 years ago? I guess it's fine if you think the answer is yes, it just means we are living in two entirely different universes.

Likely Top 25 team + future 1st round pick + great schedule.

I am very high on your team and think they should be equally mentioned when talking about the elite in this league this year.

For this forum, Wichita has been a great add to the conference. The complacent teams are boring.

Notice the lack of Tulane time with Savacool et al taking it to the big forum in the sky

Have you like done anything after we landed on the moon?

lol, most of your sweet 16 appearances required you winning ZERO games because there were so few teams in the tourney. That's a bit pathetic when you're trying to justify and compare histories based on things that happened 50+ years ago.

I can't believe you've only been to 2 NCAA's in the last 25 years lol. And haven't won a game in like 30.

So please simmer down and save yourself some face.
