+5 ended up being the magic number. Just as I guessed. I did get nervous early in the round but had no clue Arizona would go +17. A nice little challenge tomorrow in #1 Alabama.

Doing this two years in a row really shows they are one of the best teams in the country. Let’s see if they can upset Alabama.

Alabama played some games with their lineup and put their #3 seeded golfer (who had their best score in the 4 rounds) as their 5th golfer against Nielsen. Then they moved up their 4th and 5th golfer to 3rd and 4th. I think we can win both of those now. I assume Nielsen is dead simply because of the matchup. However, if we can get 3 & 4 we just need one other match.

4/8 teams from last year are repeat match play participants. NW, USC, Stanford, and Kent State.

We are going to get boat raced. Down 1 hole in all 3 of the matches that have actually teed off. Finn and Stormo are 1 down after 1 hole.

It is ova. Great season. I will take match-play every single year. Not sure if we aren't good enough or just lack the confidence, but this isn't going well.

Great season again and with 1 junior, 2 sophomores and two freshmen, they will be a handful next year, too.
Her opponent didn't really shoot a 32. I am sure you know how match play works. Therefore, nobody really has a score.

I do know exactly how match play works. I coached a HS golf team for 15 years. They’ll mark “x” or a dash on the scorecard if a player doesn’t finish the hole because they concede. They don’t record the total scores on each nine because it’s match play, but one can look at the card and see how each player did. The score is not official in any medal play sense because putts can be conceded, but in this case, her opponent had 4 birdies and 5 pars on a par 36 side. She birdied #s 3-4-5-9, parred the rest.

Did you notice that Arizona who had the disastrous round on Monday bounced back and will be in the championship match tomorrow.
