Correct. Monday will be a single round to get from 15 to 8.

I assume it adds onto the scores they've already had and they don't start fresh.

You got it. Tomorrow cuts the field to 8 for match play starting Tuesday. I guess they figured that if you aren't in the top 15 after 3 rounds, it's extremely unlikely you will make the top 8 in one more round. I assume then they won't need to have morning and afternoon waves with only fifteen teams.

They don’t mind a morning and afternoon wave but Golf Channel does. I believe they start televising on Monday.

Monday determines the individual champion which is what Golf Channel has been promoting. Then they cover the match play starting Tuesday.

Exactly and they want all the individuals in contention in one wave. Look at Stormo today. She goes from a 90 to a 71. We needed it.

We are likely going to finish the day in 8th place. Will probably need our best round of the tournament tomorrow to hold on to one of the top 8 spots. (which means +7 or better). I am thinking the magic number for us will be +5.

I hope we can get up to at least 6th to avoid Alabama and UCLA in the quarters. They look like they are a class above so far (although UCLA did falter a bit today). Remember last year we needed a sand save with a 6 foot putt to squeak in. Both the men and the women have made match play once and lost in the quarters. It would be nice to make the semis this year. Either way though we proved we can play with the best this year.

Stormo is a top 100 player, so today’s round is more representative of how she usually plays. Great to see her able to put two bad days in the rear view mirror. Very impressive round.

I'd like to see a championship and feel like the women's golf is our best chance. That said, just get to the final 8 and hopefully good things will happen. I do like that the 5 golfers are more than capable of holding their own, which presents our best chance ever if you ask me.

Anybody know how they cut the individuals for tomorrow’s round. They show 132 right now (I assume 120 from the 24 teams plus 12 other regional qualifiers). Of the 9 teams cut (45 individuals plus the original 12 individuals) who still gets to play.

Panthong is around 30th (shot a 78 today, she would have been in top 10 with her normal 71-73 and might have got some Golf Channel exposure). If she starts fast tomorrow maybe she will get there.

Kent St and Furman are the only two schools of the 24 who are not in a Power 5 Conference. We will be the third or fourth lowest seed of the 15 playing tomorrow.

Answered my own question. The top 9 not from one of the 15 teams remaining play. So a total of 84 will be teeing off today. Kent is in the last groupings so they go off after 2 pm Eastern time.

I am telling you right now, these teams are coming. We may need par or better to finish 8th.

I agree. I’m not sure what the score needs to be but we are one of the lowest ranked teams left so there is a lot of firepower in the 9-15 teams. We can’t have a bad stretch of holes today.

Arizona is already +11 and just 1 shot in front of us. We just went to +1.

We are just flirting w/ death. Such a slim margin for error between making it and not. 6 shots difference from 4th-9th place.

We have had 3 girls play #18 and we are +4 on the easiest hole on the course. You can't do that. Just make par.

RE: KSU Women's Golf 2017-2018
There are 3 teams within 3-4 shots of us who are going to post numbers and be sitting in the clubhouse waiting on us. That's going to be stupid pressure to make par.
