RE: Nebraska Predictions
My prediction is I will have parody lyrics to yet another Santa song, before or during the game. I'm going way back in time for this one, and learning the original German is taking me some time.

Still thinking 31-14 Nebraska, but looking forward to watching it.

Santa plays out of his mind: 24-30, 355 yards, 4 TDs. 12 carries, 108 yards, 1TD.
Carey actually plays Huff: 20 carries, 85 yards.
Tears and Brown play out of their minds: Both have more than 100 yards.
The defense stops the run, relatively: Holds the Huskers to 180 yards rushing.
The defense causes three turnovers.

Add we don't give a tons of free yards on penalties.

Huff with 20 carries I would say more than 85 yards

The kicks were very low, needs to get ball up another yard, maybe even more. One quick fix is move the holder back a 1/2 yard, gives a little more room for error on the line. He has a great leg, have to think there is a little mental play going on there. They will fix it. I pray.

Huskies 23
Huskers 21

We need a complete game. Husker fans are class act, fun place to play.
I was wondering if they were lined up too close to the line. Hard to tell when the OL is getting pushed back. The OL is performing in the other aspects so wtf?

I think you can count Hagan as another player Carey has chewed up and spit out. Hagan has no confidence

RE: Nebraska Predictions
What we'll find out in this game is whether Santa is a gamer. If he can throw passes like he did against EIU and surprise Nebraska with his mobility and running acumen, and ability to throw on the run - the scouting reports seem to say that Graham is a better runner for some reason - then NIU will surprise people. That assumes that the WRs catch the ball and that we let Mr. 7 ypc Huff play.

We also need to get the field goal unit figured out too of course.

Did I read on here somewhere that they tried to help Hagan with his kicking? If so, they just messed him up further. He missed some kicks last year but he wasn't that bad. They should just let him be and get the blocking done up front.

Teams know Huff is a breakaway threat and key on him when he's in the game. Carey is doing him no favors by giving him limited action and handing him the ball every time he's in. The defense knows he's getting the ball.

So let's have Huff come in for his exceptional pass blocking skills. Maybe he'll get a third QB injured in his career

Huff was blowing dudes up in the EIU game. He was a physical force. It's obvious to me he has improved tremendously in blocking.

The line has moved from Nebraska -14 to -12.

I was surprised, I thought we'd be 21 point dogs, pardon the pun.

In a battle of former Orange bowl participants, the Huskies do what Nebraska couldn't and make the two point conversion to win.

Huskies 31

Huskers 30

Oh I'm not saying they won't get hurt on their own. Just saying that Huff has gotten two of them blown up and hurt

You might as well sit most of the guys on the O-line then, if they ever let a defender hit the QB.

A Jordan Huff block is the only reason NIU scored a touchdown in Columbus. He took out 2 players with one block.
