An example of why we should let kids make life changing decisions

12 year boy old said "I'm a girl".
Doctor and parents say "ok" and mom gives the 12yo hormones
14 year old trans girl says "Wait I'm a boy"
Parents move and start treatments to reverse the damage they did.

The number of kids treated for gender dysphoria is skyrocketing. And This kid is 12! How is it we let 5yo's make this decision.

Well they clearly have more sense than their parents and doctors.

Thats probably a very tough spot to be in---but I think you at least need to wait for puberty to have any real idea where the childs long term future identity will lie.

Puberty starts at 10-12, that's too soon. I would say 17 and no sooner. Adolescence is mostly done and we have decided as a society thats the point to begin trusting people to make adult decisions.

When psychologists say this is a mental issue, then I think it's probably best to err on the side of caution.

Even if the kid gets physically reversed I wonder about his mental/emotional state.

What I find interesting is that folks think it's OK for 5 year old to make this type of decision yet it's been shown that the human brain isn't fully developed until the early 20s. Just goes to show this is all PC nonsense to push an agenda than anything else. I imagine there will be many "I've changed my mind" conversations held in the future. Part of me thinks there will be accompanying lawsuits forthcoming after said conversations.

They stunted his growth and she might have rendered him sterile...

So the mother gave her son her birth controle pills or did she get a different Rx with the intention of giving it to her son?

Considering the genetic stock she provided that's probably a good thing for society.

The gold standard should probably be "when you're old enough to get a job and pay for it yourself". Coincidentally, that is more or less about when puberty has finished wrecking havoc on kids minds and bodies.

no it isn't.....

different story, same principle....

my daughter's first grade teacher tried to diagnose her as adhd (yeah, mine has my steam engine)

I told my ex-wife, "you don't want me to do a parent teacher thingy.....tell her to fuckkkk the fukkkk off in the way that 'you can'! ....no motherfucckinnnnnnnnnnnnng wayyyyyyyy am I'm putting my 6 yr old on adderall!"

it's been a smoothie with her in development henceforth....she now tells me at 18.4, "dad, these people are crazy!"

these shite for brains 'wannabee phds' can just flat out lick it, suck it, and kiss my lily white one....

it's disgusting what is discussed amongst the many these.....it's downright disturbing how stupid people have become in my lifetime.....

Their long term will be exactly the same as the day they were born. Any time they veer from that, a parents job is to correct them, not join in the madness.

Willing to bet this kid doesn't have a dad in his life...

What a shame. While his mother has the IQ of a pile of rocks, I really feel bad for the kid.

That's the 1950s-1980s way of parenting my friend. You need to get on board with change and progressive parenting...
