Agreed. I see Florida and Vandy in there, which took me a bit by surprise. I just assumed with that stupid amount of money they make in the SEC that every school would have a women's team and they'd sponsor women's lax in the SEC. TIL.

Would be nice to one day see UC and the AAC add the men's game, but some major Title IX changes would need to occur for a large influx of men's teams to be created.

Nevertheless, good on the AAC!

Gorman was there to corral the ball and made a move toward the end line where she crossed the ball back into the box. There, Vetere rushed in and deflected the cross into the net for the 1-0 lead and her second goal in as many matches.

UC had plenty of chances in the stanza as it held an 18-1 advantage in shots. TU's Courtney McKeon made five saves in the frame to keep the Bearcats from doing more damage.

// SECOND HALF
In the second half, the Bearcats came out firing once and again and extended their lead to 2-0 in the 50' as Gorman grabbed the team lead with her fourth of the year. UC drove in deep down the flank and after a pass was knocked down by the defense, Vetere was there to send the ball across the field to Karli Royer. I don't think so...although that doesn't account for shots on goal, and judging by the save totals, it goes down to a 13-2 disparity.

The women's team has a pretty dominant defense, this season and have limited four opponents to zero SOGs in their respective contests....this group is for real, and right now are a shoe-in for an at-large bid IF NOT the AAC auto bid to the NCAA Regionals.

Pretty exciting to think a program such as this could get on a roll in the post-season and make a big splash. I think it would be great for the UC community and the growing interest in the sport throughout the area. Congratulations to the team and coaching staff for what they've accomplished so far and go 'Cats.
