Curt and Kevin Warner both teach classes in the Sport Communication minor. They give their students, many with no previous experience, the opportunity to take on various roles for the athletics department.

JMU has some things to work on. Running game, not sure why it wasn't strong in this game, and the penalties.

RE: Etsu in game
I'm guessing ETSU committed to stopping the run. Now that we have covered the spread can we take Schor out?

That sideline reporter should get booted from JMU. I hope she's not a finance major.

We have to give credit to tonight's comedy act: ETSU's secondary being eaten alive.

They definitely were better at stopping the run than ECU. I guess we're better than WVU's D though. They gave up 20 lol

Was Stapleton used as a TE? He had 8 catches for 64 yards. Not exactly a lot of downfield receptions and seemed to be more of a security blanket. I see Carlton only had one catch for 2 yards.

RE: Etsu in game
Anyone else concerned by our inability to get anything going in the running game? I realize they stacked the box and sold out to stop the run, but so do many of our opponents. I believe I read that our rushing output was the lowest of the Mike Houston era, and we were only playing ETSU, not North Dakota State and company. Seems like a potential problem going forward.

It was the only concerning thing from last night other than what felt like an unnecessary amount of Schor running plays and he was taking unnecessary contact against a meaningless opponent.
I really hope etsu ends up with one of the best run defenses in fcs this year so we can chalk it up to "give them credit, their defense was solid".
I do believe etsu will end up a top 1/3 socon team this season. They did beat Samford last year, who made the playoffs.
The run game and special teams penalties, or penalties in general, all need to be cleaned up this week.
NSU next week is a much weaker opponent than etsu. We should look better but can we take anything away from a cupcake game?

Completely agree on Schor taking too many hits. I realize it's the competitor in him, but there is no reason to try to put your head down for extra yards when up 30+ in the 2nd game of the year.
