While I agree that the victory wasn't sweet, but Villanova, like JMU, is a former FCS champion, and been highly competitive FCS for years.

Why all the glory and marching bands for JMU and forgiving ECU for the humiliating loss and not the same for Temple beating Villanova in what amounts to a city game rivalry?

You may not like me, but if you watched this game, you would know that Temple does not have many offensive weapons. Not sure why you are so offended by my comment.

Yeah this is just an uneducated take. The issue is the offensive line and the play calling.

Baylor fans deserve to melt down. Their rape scandal makes the psu one look small time. 31 players 59 rapes swept under the rug to protect the football team? Sickening, especially considering their evangelical holier than thou attitudes.

"No charges ever came of the 1998 investigation. The Freeh Report, commissioned in 2012, also revealed that Paterno and other Penn State administrators were previously aware of allegations vs. Sandusky.

A man has also testified that he told Paterno as far back as 1976 of an allegation of abuse by Sandusky. Sandusky was arrested in 2011 and later convicted of 45 counts of sexual abuse. He’s currently serving a 30-60 year prison sentence."

Small by what standard according to you. Allegations against Sandusky were known as far back as 1976 according to the quote above and nothing was done. Thirty five years and 45 counts of sexual abuse that people know of from the trial and conviction of that predator are small in comparison for PSU as opposed to the situation at Baylor. It seems to me that "small in comparison" as a statement is totally asinine since the PSU administration and Paterno covered for Sandusky to protect their own jobs and asses. 05-nono 01-wingedeagle 05-ban 03-puke 03-puke 03-puke 05-nono

Report: Police report corroborates testimony that Paterno knew of previous Sandusky allegations

On the job training.

Cupboard was not bare. OC not in love with pro-style QBs, DC on the job training.

Temple is a work in progress. 6-6 will be considered a good year given the schedule and too many trainees in high level positions.

It's not good, but has happened in recent times.

Here are a couple of interesting facts that I found when looking up Villanova. In 1961, when they were FBS (division 1-A, now FBS), they defeated Wichita State in the Sun Bowl. Apparently, WS was FBS at the time as well.

More interesting, in 1962 Villanova played in the Liberty Bowl, in your back yard. Who knew?
LOL, that was before the D1 split. The Liberty Bowl was played in Philly back then.

Sandusky deserves the death penalty for his crimes against kids, and the folks who covered for him should also be jailed and psu football should have been banned, you know, like SMU was. But the Baylor coverup covers way more rapists committing way more rapes. Guess you're defending them because Texas?

Well, this thread is about football, right? 07-coffee3 and I'm pretty sure Temple is a bigger name in that regard. most college fans don't even know that nova has a football program

Hell; I don't even know where Villinova is... or even how to spell it apparently. I don't even know in which state they reside.

In Philly, part of the Big 5 in basketball. Recently won a NC in basketball. Have won 25 Big 5 championships. Ironically Temple has won 27 of them. Play Temple in football in what is called the Mayor's Cup. Temple has a slim 16-15-2 lead in the series although have won much more often since the last tie in 1971.

I use to caddy (carrying a golf bag on each shoulder) on a golf course called Radnor Golf Course, neighbouring Villanova.

They tied Auburn in the 1937 Bacardi Bowl in Cuba. I think they became a girls school after that
