Didn't see this posted yet. Killed nearly 60 people so far, also caused tsunami warnings to be issued. Largest quake in a Century they say, and I remember some really nasty ones.

MEXICO CITY — The most powerful earthquake to hit Mexico in 100 years struck off the nation’s Pacific Coast late Thursday, rattling millions of residents in Mexico City with its violent tremors, killing at least 58 people and leveling some areas in the southern part of the country, closer to the quake’s epicenter.

About 50 million people across Mexico felt the earthquake, which had a magnitude of 8.2, the government said. In the capital, the force of the temblor sent residents of the megacity fleeing into the streets at midnight, shaken by alarms blaring over loudspeakers and a full minute of tremors. Windows broke, walls collapsed, and the city seemed to convulse in terrifying waves; the quake even rocked the city’s Angel of Independence monument.

I lived in Costa Rica for about a year, and ran a factory in a free-trade zone just outside of San Jose. I've visited Arenal, and had small rocks from it hit me.

I also experienced the earth quakes, so many that I got to the point that when my wife ran out of the building, I stayed on the phone in my boxers and chatted away.

That's what you do there.

And like birth pangs of a woman in labor, they will steadily increase in frequency and intensity. They are the early stages labor right now.
